When is the best time for our newborn shoot?
The ideal time for a newborn shoot is between the fourth and fourteenth day after birth. During this time, your baby still sleeps a lot and snuggles up in the typical newborn poses. This creates the magical, dreamy newborn photos you want. But even after that, the baby photo shoot produces beautiful baby photos with alert, curious looks.
How long does a newborn shoot take?
A newborn shoot usually takes between two and three hours. We take plenty of time for extensive breastfeeding and cuddling breaks and for your siblings. This ensures that you always get a diverse selection of motifs. It’s best to plan a little buffer time after the baby shoot in case your baby has its own pace and we need a little longer.
Are family photos and sibling photos also included?
Yes, absolutely. I always recommend including mom, dad and the siblings in the newborn shoot. Grandparents and pets are also very welcome. I am happy to adapt to your wishes and take newborn photos with the whole family and your loved ones. The most emotional pictures are often taken when the whole family is together.

Newborn shoot at home or in a studio in Munich?
You have the choice between a home story or a visit to the photo studio. I will adapt to your ideas and create a relaxed atmosphere for you as a family in any setting.
Home story: Your baby is most relaxed at home and feels comfortable and secure. You don’t have to travel, have everything you need (pacifier, burp cloth, diapers, cuddly toy, toys, snacks) to hand and can easily take breaks.
Photo studio: My newborn photography can also take place in my daylight studio at your request. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in a newborn shoot in the studio.
My recommendation: I can say from experience that the most beautiful and personal newborn photos are taken in your home. That’s why most clients opt for the home story. If your newborn is slumbering peacefully at the beginning of the newborn shoot, I like to start with detailed shots of the baby. I lovingly capture the tiny feet and toes, the little hands, the gently curved ears and other adorable details. I stylishly complement the image motifs with selected accessories such as a soft wrap, a small knitted blanket, a beautiful scarf or a hand-knitted hat.
Later you will marvel at how tiny these little feet once were and remember how precious every moment was in the early days. I adapt the order of the motifs flexibly during the photo session, depending on whether the newborn is asleep or awake, whether we are taking a break or what the mood of the siblings is at the time.

Your sleeping baby takes center stage
Your little miracle is also the center of attention in the portraits and shows its first character traits. I photograph your newborn in natural, gentle poses. Always so that it feels comfortable and is in safe hands. Perhaps your baby is sleeping soundly like an angel, or perhaps it is dozing peacefully in a soft basket surrounded by beautiful cloths. Perhaps it is also showing its curious, alert eyes, as if it already wants to discover the world. Your wishes and ideas are very welcome. Perhaps you have seen a favorite outfit or a newborn pose that you particularly like? Based on our phone call, I will take suitable items of clothing, accessories and props such as baskets and blankets with me for our baby photo shoot. These are mainly in pastel shades or subtle colors and let the newborn be the focus of the pictures.

Your baby senses your relaxation: The more relaxed you are as parents, the calmer and happier your baby will be. If you are nervous or worried, your little one will sense this immediately. At the beginning, we talk about your wishes and concerns and I calmly explain to you what we are going to do. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable from the very first moment.

Things to keep you busy before the newborn shoot
I don’t really feel comfortable in front of the camera right now
I hear this phrase mainly from new moms, and it’s completely understandable. Your body has just performed a miracle, you’re exhausted and not at your best right now. But your baby doesn’t see any dark circles or tousled hair. It sees pure love, warmth and security. It is these feelings that we capture in pictures during this emotional time. We choose the poses so that you feel comfortable and mix pictures of the newborn alone, pictures as a couple and with the whole family. I am happy to fulfill small retouching requests such as dark circles and the like!
What if our baby cries or doesn’t sleep?
Sometimes your little darling is restless, doesn’t want to sleep or is simply having a bad day. Siblings can also be shy or not in the mood. This is completely normal! You can also create magical newborn photos when your baby is cranky. As an experienced newborn photographer and mother of three, I have a lot of patience and experience in such situations. When you relax as parents, this has a very positive effect on your baby. So far I have been able to take wonderful newborn pictures in every newborn shoot!
Is our home suitable for the newborn shoot?
You don’t need a large apartment, perfectly furnished rooms or a tidy home for our newborn shoot. Most of the newborn photos were taken in normal, sometimes small Munich apartments. A sofa, a bed and some window light are sufficient. Your apartment doesn’t have to look perfect. Shortly after the birth you have more important things on your mind. I bring everything you need and find the right angles and the right light. Send me a few photos in advance via WhatsApp and I’ll be happy to advise you!

Get to know us and book an appointment
Write to me via the contact form, WhatsApp, e-mail or call me right away. We will get to know each other in a non-binding telephone call. You tell me about your wishes and ideas. We’ll talk about location, outfits, accessories, motifs, image style and any other topics that are on your mind. I will reserve a provisional date for you after the birth (ET). After the birth, you get in touch and we find the final date for our newborn shoot.
Our joint photo session
At the beginning of the photo session, we get to know each other better. We’ll discuss your wishes and concerns and I’ll take the time to explain the process to you. I often start with detailed shots of your baby, followed by portraits of the newborn and pictures with the parents and siblings. We take enough time to capture a variety of high-quality photographs.
Select favorite images and image package
After the newborn shoot, I select the best pictures and edit them professionally and lovingly. I will provide you with a balanced selection of detailed pictures, portraits and family pictures in an online gallery. You choose your personal favorites and decide on a picture package. I will then make these photos available for you to download and will be happy to advise you on photo products on request.

With me you get a comprehensive service with no hidden costs. I’ll look after you personally and individually from the initial consultation to the selection of high-quality photo products.
I. Photo session (without picture package)
Personal consultation: Before the newborn shoot, we will talk about your wishes, the right location and all other details. I will be happy to advise you on outfits and styling.
Outfits and accessories: I bring a coordinated selection of outfits, delicate wraps, soft blankets and other favorite pieces for our photo shoot.
Online gallery: After the photo session, I select the best shots and edit all the pictures with great care. I will provide you with at least 80 pictures to choose from in the online gallery.
Modular structure: Each photo shoot consists of a photo session and a picture package. The photo session does not include any pictures! You book your picture package in the next step.

After the photo shoot, you can choose your personal favorite pictures and your picture package in the online gallery. This means you don’t have to decide on a picture package before the photo shoot, but only decide after viewing the finished pictures.

Weekends and public holidays: For photo shoots on weekends or public holidays I charge an additional fee of EUR 100.

How do I book an appointment?
I will reserve a provisional appointment for you during your pregnancy based on the expected date of birth (ET). After the birth, you will let me know promptly (within 1-2 days) via WhatsApp. We will then arrange the final appointment. I only accept a limited number of newborns per week so that I can keep a shooting date free for you.
What happens if we have to postpone the appointment ?
If someone is ill or otherwise unable to attend, please let me know as early as possible. We will then postpone the date.
A newborn shoot with me costs from EUR 550. The price is made up of the photo session (EUR 250) and the chosen photo package (from EUR 300). I charge extra for photo sessions on weekends, public holidays, in the studio or outside of Munich. You can find more price information in the packages and prices section.

Is our apartment suitable as a photo location?
Stylish newborn photography succeeds in any home. We can take photos in almost any room, such as the living room, bedroom or nursery. Your newborn’s radius is still very limited. As a newborn photographer, I have already taken beautiful newborn photos in the smallest apartments in Munich. Before the newborn shoot at your home, I will be happy to discuss the photographic possibilities with you.
Should we participate as parents and siblings?
Yes, absolutely. I always recommend including the whole family in the baby photo shoot. Parents, siblings, twins and grandparents are all welcome. We are also happy to include your dog or other pets. Please let me know in good time if you would like to include a pet.
How can we prepare for the photo session?
It’s best to get your favorite outfits and accessories ready in good time. Have diapers, burp cloth, pacifier, cuddly toy, toys and food ready. It is very helpful if your baby is full and content at the start of the newborn shoot. It’s best to keep them awake a little beforehand so that they are tired and fall asleep during the photo shoot. However, don’t stress yourselves out, with a lot of patience most babies sleep after a while. What tips on outfits and accessories do you have for us?
High-quality newborn photography starts with stylish outfits and accessories. Based on our preliminary talk, I will bring a selection of beautiful outfits and accessories such as blankets, scarves, baskets, props and pillows for your baby. Feel free to put your own ideas together and prepare your favorite clothes, personal accessories, cuddly toys and toys. You can find tips for your newborn’s outfit in this article. I recommend agreeing on two to three colors as a family and putting together your clothes in shades of these colors. You should avoid eye-catching lettering, logos or other motifs. What do we do when our baby cries or doesn’t sleep?
This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Magical newborn photos are created even if your baby cries or doesn’t sleep straight away. I have a lot of patience and experience and know how to calm babies during a newborn shoot. My tip: The more relaxed you are as parents, the calmer your baby will be.
What if the siblings don’t want to take part?
We take the time that the siblings need to gain trust. We playfully involve them in the photos and give them space to arrive at their own pace. The most beautiful sibling photos are often taken in these informal moments. If a sibling does not want to be photographed, I recommend respecting this. How is the safety of our baby guaranteed?
I am specially trained in newborn photography and the safe handling of newborns. I work exclusively with gentle, age-appropriate poses and treat your baby with care and caution. As a mother of three and an experienced newborn photographer, I have learned how to handle newborns safely and confidently over a long period of time. The safety of your baby during the newborn shoot is my top priority. If your midwife has given you specific advice, please contact me in advance.
How are our newborn pictures processed?
After the photo session, I sort through the newborn photos and select the best ones for you. I combine detail shots, newborn portraits and family photos in a balanced way. I also mix shots where you are looking directly into the camera with natural and seemingly unobserved situations.
I edit all images professionally and lovingly. I harmonize the colors, white balance, exposure and contrast. I retouch skin blemishes, skin flakes and reddening of your baby’s skin and finalize the pictures in my personal image look. If you would also like a full beauty retouch of the adults or have special editing requests, please contact me.
When will our newborn photos be ready?
You will receive your newborn photos promptly, usually within a week, for selection. I will put all the pictures in an online gallery for you to view and will send you a message as soon as the gallery is ready. You can then view the pictures at your leisure and choose your favorite ones.
Which photo products can we order from you?
I will be happy to advise you on high-quality photo products such as fine art prints, passe-partout boxes, albums, wall pictures and many other products.
