My Photo Studio in Munich

I enjoy taking photos in my light-filled, natural-light studio in Munich. The studio is spacious and has a minimalist design: white walls, wood-colored hardwood floors, and very little furniture. A large window wall with semi-transparent curtains diffuses the natural light into a soft, even glow.

I take photos using natural light, without a flash, elaborate light modifiers, or backdrops. In my studio, I offer all types of photo shoots: couples, maternity, newborn, baby, family, children, portraits, and business.

But you don’t have to come to my studio. I also offer on-location photography throughout Munich and the districts of Munich, Ebersberg, Starnberg, and Fürstenfeldbruck. Your photo shoot will then take place at your home or at your favorite spots in nature.

Bright and welcoming

My daylight studio: 90 square meters with a large window front

The studio is 90 square meters. A long window wall with white curtains provides soft light all day long, even when the sun is shining outside. I arrange the existing furniture to suit different projects. That’s all it takes for you to be the star of the photo.

Soft natural light flatters the skin. It doesn’t cast harsh shadows or cause glare. In the studio, I have excellent lighting conditions most days, regardless of the weather.

The white walls and light-colored floor serve as my backdrop. I work without a flash and without background rolls. That’s why the photos taken in the studio—just like the ones I take outdoors or at your homes—have a natural and warm feel.

The studio includes an entryway with a coat check and seating, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, and separate restrooms.

You can park right outside the door, arrive at your own pace, and take a moment to catch your breath.

For your photo shoot

What I Have in Store for You

I’ll set up the studio specifically for your photo shoot. Maybe we’ll need a sofa, a bed, or a small or large table? No problem—I’ll arrange the setting to suit your shoot.

I also have outfits, dresses, scarves, baskets, and other accessories ready to go. For newborns and babies, I’ll warm up the studio beforehand so your baby feels comfortable.

During breaks, I’ll be happy to provide you with water and coffee. The kitchen, restroom, and changing room are available for your use.

Flexible Design

What kinds of photo shoots is the studio suitable for?

The studio is suitable for all types of photo shoots: couples, maternity, newborns, babies, children, families, portraits, and business.

For couple and maternity photography, I use the studio more often, sometimes in combination with an outdoor maternity shoot.

For newborns and babies, most families opt for a home session. Children’s and family photography takes place primarily outdoors.

For portrait and business photography, I often shoot outdoors or on location, but just as regularly in my natural-light studio.

In the studio, your baby bump takes center stage, with no distractions in the background. The soft light streaming in through the windows highlights its curves. We have a selection of outfits ready for you to try on—you don’t need to bring anything.

Most families opt for a home photo shoot after the birth because it saves them a trip. The studio is the alternative if your apartment doesn’t get much natural light or if you’d rather get out for a bit.

A lot happens between three and twelve months: sitting, crawling, standing. In the spacious studio, your baby will have plenty of room to move around.

Studio, Home Story, or Outdoor: Which one is right for you?

There isn’t one location that’s right for every photo shoot. Generally speaking, I highly recommend outdoor shoots, regardless of the season or the type of shoot. For newborns, babies, and toddlers, a home session is usually the best option. The studio, on the other hand, is a good choice as a complement to outdoor shoots or for special types of shoots. During our initial consultation, we’ll take the time to figure out which location works best for you.

Here’s how to get there

The studio is located in Trudering, in the eastern part of Munich, and is easily accessible by car and public transportation (subway, bus). Parking is available right outside the door. The entrance to the building is at ground level and wheelchair-accessible. The studio has an elevator. I’ll send you all the other details before the shoot.

I schedule studio appointments by appointment only. You’ll have the studio all to yourselves, and no one will be waiting outside the door.

Where is the photo studio?

Do you take photos in a studio using a flash?

No. I prefer to work with the natural light coming in through the windows. For special needs, I use artificial lighting.
