I recently had a lovely couple’s photo shoot in Munich with Lisa and Tom. The two of them were celebrating their anniversary and wanted to capture this special day in photos.
Preliminary Phone Consultation
On the phone, they told me about their shared passion for nature and how they had met at Riemer See. That’s where our couple’s photo shoot was to take place.
For me, every photo shoot starts with a relaxed phone call. I like to take the time to get to know you and talk about your wishes and ideas. What brings you together? Which places hold special meaning for your relationship? Do you prefer a romantic sunset shoot during the golden hour, or would you rather be in the heart of the city during the day? These questions help me work with you to plan your couple’s photo shoot in Munich.

On Set
Lisa and Tom wanted to meet me at Riemer See in the early evening. They brought several outfits with them—dresses in various colors, ranging from form-fitting to flowing. I added a light-colored boho dress to the mix. That way, we could switch up our outfits and styles.
I like to structure my couple photo shoots as a relaxed stroll through nature. Instead of discussing stiff poses, we just start walking. I like to begin with casual full-body shots and then move on to more emotional, intimate moments. You tell me about yourselves, and I’ll follow along with my camera. During our shoot, we captured some very emotional couple photos as the two of them reminisced about their first date: the glances, the laughter, the little hug here and there—all very natural.
During the shoot, I’ll give you little prompts: “Whisper something sweet in each other’s ears” or “Show me how you usually hug each other.” This creates moments that show your natural connection. For couples who are a little unsure or don’t feel quite comfortable in front of the camera, I’ll gently guide you and tailor the shots to your preferences. We’ll work together to make sure you always feel at ease.
I prefer to take photos outdoors in natural light. This setting helps you focus on each other and enjoy the moment. This results in both spontaneous couple photos and carefully staged shots that showcase your connection without looking posed.
Your ideas and special places
There are many great spots in Munich for couple photos: the English Garden with its expansive meadows, the Isar River with its riverbanks, the Olympic Park, or the Nymphenburg Palace Park. I went to Lake Riem with Lisa and Tom. And as the sun slowly set, the warm, golden light bathed everything in a magical atmosphere.
Some couples bring their own ideas to the table—whether it’s a specific outfit, a meaningful accessory, a pet, or a place that brings back memories. I’m happy to work with you and combine your ideas with my photographic expertise.
Tom had secretly prepared a little surprise: a handwritten letter to Lisa, which he gave her to read during the photo shoot. The tears of emotion that flowed at that moment resulted in some very touching photos of the couple.
Editing and Image Selection
After the photo session, I’ll select the best couple photos for you and edit them in my natural, understated style. You’ll receive the finished photos via an online gallery, so you can browse, select, download, and share your couple photos at your leisure.
