Anja Jepsen honored at the Baby Photo Awards
My newborn photography and baby photography was honored by the Baby Photo Awards in the 120th Collection. The international jury of experts included one of my pictures in the Best Photography Gallery. This makes me one of the few photographers in Germany to have received this award. I am very happy about this award!
The Baby Photo Awards are one of the most important international platforms for baby and newborn photography. Photographers from all over the world submit their work, which is then judged by a panel of experienced industry professionals. And the best images from each collection make it into the Best Photography Gallery.

What are the Baby Photo Awards?
The Baby Photo Awards are an international community platform specializing in baby and newborn photography. For over ten years, the best baby and newborn pictures from all over the world have been regularly collected, evaluated and awarded here, now in over 120 collections.
The special feature is the clearly structured evaluation format. Photographers submit their pictures in regular collections. An international jury of experts, themselves experienced baby and newborn photographers, evaluates the submissions. The best images from each collection are published in the Best Photography Gallery and the photographers behind them appear in the Top Baby Photographers List.
For photographers in German-speaking countries, inclusion in the Best Photography Gallery is one of the most valuable international recognitions in the field of newborn photography. The assessment is based purely on photographic quality, regardless of location, and thus sets a uniform international standard.

For this I was honored as a newborn photographer
This picture from a newborn shoot with a young family in Munich was awarded the prize. It shows a newborn child nestled in the hands of three generations. Mom and dad are holding the little body. The hands of the grandfather, who had traveled to the birth to welcome his first grandchild, lie on top.
It is precisely this encounter between the most delicate and the grown that I wanted to capture. The tiny feet, still very new in this world, lie in hands that have already seen and borne much. In black and white, the essentials stand out: skin, light, shadow, and the silent moment in between.
