The children can explore the surroundings while we talk about the process and clarify any final questions you may have. This gentle introduction is important so that everyone can relax and no one feels like they have to pose.
In a family photo shoot, I try to capture the family, the individuals and their interactions in photographs. I often start with pictures of the whole family: mom, dad and all the children together. These group shots are often a good way to start and break the ice. You arrive as a family, the children get used to the situation and I get a feel for your family dynamic.
Instead of stiff poses, I will guide you to natural situations: “Take your little one in the middle and cuddle up together” or “Walk towards me together as if you were going for a walk”. These gently guided but informal situations result in authentic family photos that reveal your emotional bond.
After we have completed the shots of the whole family, I focus on smaller groups and interactions. This phase is followed by lively small group pictures with lots of emotional elements.

Like many of my clients, I am happy to accompany you regularly in your development. As for the best time for the shoot, the best light for an outdoor shoot is two hours after and two hours before sunset. If that doesn’t fit into your schedule, we can also look for shady spots at midday.

There is no general answer to this, it depends very much on the number of participants and the motifs. I usually shoot for about 1-2 hours. I pay attention to the mood of the children. When I realize that the little ones have had enough, we come to the end. Your family shoot should be fun for them and remain a good memory.
Do you also do portraits in a family shoot?
Yes, of course we also take lots of individual portrait photos, primarily of your children. But mom and dad also have enough time for beautiful portraits and couple photos.
What do we do with the family shoot appointment if the weather is bad? Can we postpone the date if someone is ill ?
If the weather is not good enough for an outdoor shoot, I will be happy to come to your home or we can postpone the family shoot. If someone is ill, please let me know in good time. Then we will find a good solution or a new date.

Basically, our family shoot in Munich works best with well-rested, fit and full children. If a child is sick, we prefer to postpone before they become unwell. It’s great if you agree on two or three colors and everyone puts their clothes together in shades of these colors. It’s good if the colors or color nuances are reflected in each other’s clothes. How do we find the right poses and motifs? Should we contribute our own ideas ?
I have found that it is an advantage if my clients also think about their own wishes for the family shoot. If you can’t think of any motifs or would like me to take over completely, I will be happy to do so. I know many suitable poses and motifs and then take control of the family shoot :-).
How many people can take part in a family photo shoot?
You are welcome to bring more people to the family photo shoot. Please note that the number of motifs and the time required increases with the number of people. We should therefore coordinate the participants before the family photo shoot.
Can grandparents also take part in our family photo shoot?
Yes, I would love to! Multi-generational photos with grandparents are wonderful memories for your family. Please let me know before the shoot how many people will be taking part so that I can plan accordingly.

I usually feel uncomfortable in front of the camera . How can we deal with this?
That’s how some customers feel and it’s not a problem at all. I create a pleasant atmosphere and guide you gently so that you don’t have to pose.
